We have resumed walk-ins for all services except eye exams, contact lens training, and edging of lenses, which are still by appointment only.
We are requiring everyone to wear face covering at all times in the office and will update as necessary.
Thanks for your support! Follow us on Facebook for more updates.
Thank you Alliance for making us the premier location for satisfaction in eyewear. Since 1983, our goal has been providing the very best service to our patients while keeping our prices among the lowest.
Not currently getting your eyewear from us? Please take a moment and explore our website and see what we have to offer...
Our on-site lab gives us the flexibility that an ordinary eye center cannot provide. We can offer a fast turnaround time without compromising the accuracy of your prescription. When you order glasses from an ordinary provider, your eyeglasses can pass through a dozen or more hands before they return. At Carnation Optical, your glasses are custom crafted and fitted by the same optician who helped you choose your frame and lenses. No other optical center offers this degree of precision and personalization.
Need glasses fast? We stock thousands of prescriptions in house when the unexpected happens.
Are your current frames broken beyond repair? With our modern equipment, we can usually recut your existing lenses to fit a new frame. Or conversely, if your lenses are scratched and your frame is in good shape, we can duplicate the prescription and bring back your clear vision. Has your prescription only changed in one eye? No need to ship off your frame and wait weeks...let our opticians take care of it, many times while you wait.
That's the Carnation Optical difference. You'll never hear us say, "There's nothing we can do."
Here are some of the frame companies we carry in stock. Click on their logos to visit their sites. While we inventory over 1500 frames, there are hundreds of frame companies around the world.
If you are looking for a specific frame or company, it is more than likely we can get if for you. Call or contact us!
Sunglasses are more than a trendy accessory. They also protect you and make you more comfortable. Extended unprotected exposure to sunlight has been linked to many types of eye damage, including cataracts, macular degeneration, and other disorders. Anyone who spends time outdoors is at risk for eye problems from UV radiation. Wearing good quality sunglasses will protect your eyes, much like sunscreen protects your skin.
We recommend polarized lenses for the ultimate in comfort. Only polarized lenses eliminate reflected glare. Reflected glare is light bouncing back from a flat surface like a lake, snow or the hood of your car. Just like regular eyewear, we strongly recommend polycarbonate as your choice of lens material. Polycarbonate lenses are the most impact-resistant substance, and therefore the safest.
We have a large selection of non-prescription Sunwear from companies like Oakley and many others. Most of these are also available in prescription, as are our collection of ophthalmic frames.
Let our opticians help custom design your own unique pair. Frame style, lens color and coatings make the possibilities virtually endless.
We strongly recommend to use of polycarbonate lenses in all your eyewear. Polycarbonate lenses are 10 times more impact resistant than regular plastic. As an added bonus, they are thinner and lighter and offer 100% ultraviolet protection. Industrial and sport eyewear are designed for rougher than normal use and provide an extra measure of safety and durability.
We also carry frames for sports from Hilco-Leader that are ASTM F803 certified. These sports specific frames are designed to eliminate or minimize injuries in high contact sports like baseball, basketball, football and racket sports.
OSHA approved Z-87 industrial eyewear that meets every safety standard. We have a style for every need and budget. All have sideshields to meet your employers requirements. No longer do safety glasses have to look like foundry glasses!
Protect yourself on the job and off in style and comfort.
Focus on your game and give 110% with confidence.

No single contact lens is right for everyone. We offer the combination of wide selection, expert fitting and follow-up care to make your contact lens experience the best it can possibly be. Contact lenses are medical devices and can cause permanent damage without proper supervision. Our job is to provide that supervision to our patients and we take that responsibility very seriously.
Although not every person is a candidate for contact lenses, there are more choices than ever before.
